Sharks:
With our roots deep in the oceans and sharks, thanks to the movie Sharkwater of course, these are some of our first campaigns as a formal organization. We are currently working on three exciting shark campaigns to address the issues facing sharks. With over 73,000,000 sharks killed a year, and over 1/3 of shark species facing extinction, we can’t afford to wait.

Fin Free
We have long had a dream of making the world a fin free place. We are actively pursuing a ban of all shark fin and shark fin products, starting with Toronto, Ontario Canada. At the same time, we are creating the template and tools to enable Fin Free movements around the planet.
Shark Angels
Considering that more than half of the United Conservationists core team are also Shark Angels, it only makes sense that we have partnered together on a much grander scale. Shark Angels are powered by United Conservationists, and in turn United Conservationists is powering the SHark Angels. The Shark Angels and United Conservationists are working together, on the behalf of sharks everywhere, to build a global movement through localized grassroots campaigns to save sharks. With positive education, media and outreach, those of us on the Shark Front, United Conservationists and Shark Angels alike, are changing the future for sharks. Shark Angels are working to distribute Sharkwater in communities that matter, serve as shark central for United Conservationists, who has many campaigns - including making the world Fin Free, and of course, picking up where Sharkwater left off, using media as a critical tool in the campaign.

Sharkwater China
We are editing, dubbing and providing a special version of Sharkwater to public television and DVDs for mass distribution, including to schools, in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Our goal is to bring the plight of sharks to the heart of the shark fin capitals of the world – where we can make a big difference upon demand and supply. The film is currently being edited and produced in both Mandarin and Cantonese, though we have plans to subtitle it in Singlish, Hokkien and Malay.

Costa Rica
Cocos Island and Costa Rica are clearly near and dear to our hearts, playing a huge role in Sharkwater. Not only are we launching a Cocos Island MyConservation Park with Good World Games, but we are working with Richard Branson and Virgin Unite as well as the Shark Angels to mobilize and put pressure on the Costa Rican government to change policy, while building a groundswell movement to support shark conservation, using Sharkwater as a critical tool. These campaigns are fueled by YOU. All of these campaigns need funding, donations in kind and support – please get involved today to make our important work possible.
